Mission Statement

The Eagle's baseball program is designed as an integral and vital part of the Pleasant Grove High School experience. We wish to inspire champions today and prepare leaders for tomorrow by providing an environment which enables student-athletes to achieve their highest academic, athletic and personal aspirations. Student-athletes are encouraged by the coaching staff to maintain a balance between athletics, academics, and the social aspects of high school. We believe athletics gives an added dimension to the student's overall experience and provides an opportunity for social, moral, emotional, and cultural growth and character development.

From Coach Rinaldi:

If you have any questions, please start by contacting your son's head coach for answers specific to his team. Coaches will send game schedules home with players this week.

*Remember, unless told otherwise, players need to plan on practicing or playing Saturdays and holidays, including Spring break.  All PG baseball events are mandatory.

*We will have PG summer teams for JV and varsity, and possibly incoming freshmen.  We are working on specific dates and times, but you can plan on June 1 as a start date, and somewhere around July 10 as an ending date, with games and practices to be announced.
Please plan on committing to the PG summer team schedule.  If you feel like your son needs to play on an additional team for some reason, check with your son's head coach before doing anything.  Pitching on more than one team is a bad idea and often leads to injury.

When final rosters are made, we will issue spirit packs and uniforms to players.  Spirit pack costs vary team to team, and player to player, as we offered discounts to those who sold outfield fence signs.  I will send specific amounts soon.

Varsity parents:  The team will stay at the Fairfield Inn in Clovis on March 26 and 27.  We play at 7:00 on the 26th, so plan on departing for Fresno around noon, checking the boys into the hotel, and then heading to Clovis West High School around 5:00 pm.  Rooms are going fast!  I have already reserved rooms for the players; parents should look for rooms asap.

Thanks for your continued support,
Go EAGLES!
